Mission College held an evening memorial service in honorof Mrs Gail Valentine at the MC church on March26, 2009. Students, faculty, staff and friends filled the churchas they pay their last respect to their former teacher, colleague,their mother to some and friend.
During the tributes, Mrs Gail was described as a person who was caringtowards her students and someone who had passion for excellence. Tresor, herformer student, shared that her belief in his potential is still memorable to himup to this day. “She managed to combine her skill as a teacher and a mother.”
Her work in setting up the HR department at this College was a significantcontribution. Many faculty attest that she took great care of her colleagueswith remarkable and professional organizing skills that many appreciated. “Iremember that she helped my family to be as comfortable as possible when wefirst came to Mission College,” shared Mrs Nola Tudu.
About two and a half years ago, Mrs Gail’s work at Mission College was cutshort when on a business trip to Australia, when she found out she had cancer.Throughout her illness, she was courageous and she found peace with God,which inspired many.
